Welcome to the privacy policy of the AVANCE RENT A CAR company. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.  This privacy policy informs you about how we treat your personal data as a customer, and provides you with information about your privacy rights and how you are protected by law. Our company is responsible for the collection, management and processing of your personal data.

  1. For what purpose do we process your Data

We collect your Data for the purposes of the products and services provided which you have selected, indicatively for the management of the car rental with a driver of the Company, and compliance with the obligations imposed by applicable law each time. The processing of your Data is carried out when deemed necessary for the observance of the terms of our contractual relationship and the fulfillment of the Company's obligations arising from the applicable Greek or European Legislation.

  1. Data we collect

We only collect data that is absolutely necessary for serving the purpose which you have assigned to us. The data is limited to what you have expressly provided for the specific purpose of renting a passenger car with a driver. We also collect data during your visit to our site.

 Identification data, such as first name, last name, father’s name, identity card or passport.

Contact data, such as email, telephone number.

Financial data, such as payment credit / debit card number, bank account number, depending on how you choose to pay, Tax Identification Number (for companies).

  1. How do we use your Data

The processing of your data is carried out only by the authorized personnel of our Company. We collect your information before you board the vehicle, when you make your reservation, through our call centers or any of our mobile applications, when you use our company email, as well as when you use our company websites.

In general, your data is processed in order to provide you with the following services:

Submission of an offer

The Company processes your Data, for the submission of an offer upon your request, for the rental of a car, limousine or VAN only with a driver. Your data is automatically deleted if you do not accept the offer we send you.

Vehicle rental with driver: The Company processes your data in order to fulfill its contractual relationship with you, which is the rental of vehicles with a driver.

Compliance with applicable Legislation: The Company processes your Data, in order to be able to meet its legal obligations, related to the observance of the applicable Greek legislation regarding the rental of a vehicle with a driver.

Website: The Company provides information and customer services through its website. You can refer to our website (Cookies Policy), for information on the cookie policy followed by our Company.

  1. Recipients

Our Company will not transfer or disclose your Data to third parties for any purpose or use unless this is made mandatory by applicable law or required by public bodies, police or judicial authorities. The necessary staff of the Company, which is committed to maintaining confidentiality, as well as the competent state authorities, as specified by Legislation, have access to your data.

  1. Protection of your Personal Data

We have taken all the appropriate organizational and technical precautions to safeguard and protect your personal data from unintentional or fraudulent destruction, accidental loss, distortion, unlawful dissemination or access and any other kind of unauthorized processing.

  1. Retention Time of your Data

We only retain your Data for a period of 24 hours after the end of the service in accordance with the applicable Legislation. Following the completion of the agreed works and the payment of the invoice by you, we retain only the necessary data according to the Law, exclusively for tax purposes.

  1. Customer Rights

You have the right, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 6, to:

a) Request access to your personal data. This enables you to obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to confirm that we are processing it in accordance with the law.

b) Request a correction of the personal data we hold about you. This enables you to correct incomplete or inaccurate data or to supplement data we hold about you, although we reserve the right to ask you to validate the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.

c) Request the deletion of your personal data without prejudice to the retention time set out above.

d) Oppose the processing of your personal data when you consider that your fundamental rights and freedoms are being violated. You also have the right to object when we process your personal data for immediate promotional purposes, without your prior consent.

e) Request a restriction on the processing of your personal data. This allows you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following cases: (a) if you wish to confirm the accuracy of the data, (b) when we misuse your data but you do not want us to delete them,(c) when you want us to keep your data even if we do not request it, if it is necessary for you to validate, exercise or defend legal claims, or (d) you have objected to our use of your data but must confirm if we have compelling legitimate grounds to do so.

f) Request the transfer of your personal data to you or a third party. We will provide you, or any third party you indicate, with your personal data in a structured, commonly-used and machine readable format. This right only applies to information that we have received with your consent at the time of conclusion of the contract or later, until the time of submission of the request.

g) Withdraw your consent in case you find and you can prove that it has ceased to be legal. However, this is not something that can affect the legal processing that took place before you withdrew your consent.
If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide specific products or services to you.

There is no obligation to respond to a Customer's request for restriction, opposition to the processing or deletion of his/her data, if the processing of the data is necessary for the establishment, exercise or support of a legitimate interest of the Company, as well as for 24 hours from the end of the service, as your data is transmitted to the competent authorities, as specified in the applicable Legislation.

  1. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify the present policy and effect any changes in the information provided previously, within the constraints of the law. If there are fundamental changes in policy or in the way we use your personal data, we will post the updates on the present policy on our website and you may be informed about any changes there. Let it be made clear that such changes will be effected starting the day they are posted in the amended privacy policy on the Company official webpage www.avancetransfers.gr. We encourage you to read the policy at regular intervals so that you can keep up to date about your data protection.
